I recommend only washing 2-3 times a week. To achieve this you need to make sure you’re getting the most out of your shampoo experience. Shampoo twice, rinse really well then condition or treat. Your first shampoo should be a pre-cleanser, it detoxifies the hair and assists in scalp cleaning from product build up, chlorine, environmental factors and hormonal factors. Try O&M Detox with native Australian peppermint for a thorough cleanse.
Always gently towel dry your hair to at least 60-70% to cut down on your drying time (because no body has time for a 45minute blow dry). The key is to cut down on friction, so stop rubbing damp hair with a towel, for best results; gently wrap your hair in a hair wrap for 10 – 15 minutes or gently scrunch or pat dry thoroughly and brush through before applying your leave-in products.
All hair types love moisture and nourishment, I always recommend using a serum, moisturiser and then sealing with an oil. I love layering products and working them in by massaging and pressing them into the hair like you would when applying serums to your face.
